Global Entry members become eligible to renew their membership one year before the program expiration. Upon renewal, you may be required to interview again. This is determined by the vetting center, and the determination cannot be appealed. If conditionally approved, you will need to schedule an interview to finalize your Global Entry renewal. Alternatively, a renewal may be approved without an interview, in which case a new Global Entry card will be mailed to the address on file. To facilitate the interview process, CBP has added a new feature allowing you to schedule a Zoom interview with the vetting officer. Since COVID, there is a significant backlog in processing first-time applications and renewals. Therefore, all Global Entry members are advised to submit their Global Entry renewal applications as early as possible to receive their new card before the expiration of the old one.
